Back2Black Festival: Multilingual Website & Blog
A multilingual WordPress website with e-commerce implementation developed for Back2Black, a Brazilian festival focused on music, art, culture and dialogue between Africa and the African diaspora. The project involved migrating the website to a better host, rebuilding its structure and interface, implementing Portuguese, English and French versions, configuring language-specific SEO, and improving performance and technical infrastructure for a content-heavy website. The website was developed using WooCommerce and WoodMart, as the client asked me to implement e-commerce features to set up an online store in the future.

Implementation
Multilingual Architecture
Implemented the website's Portuguese, English and French versions using Polylang, structuring the different language versions across the site's pages and navigation. The multilingual setup was applied throughout the website rather than being limited to a small set of translated pages.
Multilingual SEO
Configured the website's SEO structure for each language, including language-specific page metadata, URLs, indexing and content organization. Yoast SEO and the multilingual setup were configured to provide a consistent technical SEO foundation across the different language versions.
Website Migration & Development
Migrated and redeveloped the existing Back2Black website within a WordPress environment, restructuring the site's content and page architecture while rebuilding its front-end experience with Elementor, custom CSS, JavaScript and additional code adjustments. The project required adapting a large amount of existing festival content into a more structured and maintainable website.
Cross-Browser Troubleshooting
Investigated and resolved front-end compatibility issues affecting the site's media experience, including Safari-specific behavior involving autoplay and above-the-fold video content. Custom front-end adjustments were used to maintain the intended experience and performance across different browsers.
Performance & Infrastructure
Worked on the website's hosting and technical infrastructure after migration, combining WP Rocket with front-end and asset optimizations to improve loading performance and overall stability. Images, CSS, JavaScript and caching behavior were optimized as part of the redevelopment.
